Registry items in Mint Condition: This hue's a natural

For two people heading down a path of hope and promise, the color of spring - of daffodil shoots and just-budding elms - couldn't be more appropriate. You might not think to outfit your kitchen or decorate your interior in green but yet mint, emerald and piquant chartreuse have a literal freshness as well as a symbolic one. Coordinate your kitchen with stylish housewares in shades of this cool color.

(l to r: bottle opener, large angled scraper spatula, masher, $19.98, pizza wheelie, $15.98, Art & Cook). Art & Cook is my personal favorite. Registry item for me, most definately!

(l to r: Chip and Dip server, $59.00; Serving bowl, $42.75, Royal Doulton).

Be color happy
. It's a good idea to incorporate a cheerful hue into your kitchen. From countertops to backsplashes, your favorite shade will make you smile. - Modern Bride

Keep design in mind. If you have limited space, pick decorative pieces you'll want to display on your counter. - Modern Bride

(l to r: Loaf Dish, $29.95; Pie dish, $16.95, Emile Henry)

(l to r: Eclectrics 500 watt blender, $90.00, Hamilton Beach; Ultra Power nine-speed hand mixer, $90.00, Williams-Sonoma).

Do Double Duty.
To save time and money, opt for multifunctional kitchen items, like the trivet that can be used as a warmer. - Modern Bride (The trivet has my name written all over it. This is an item that's going on my registry for sure)!

(l to r: Margarita ville frozen concoction maker, $299.95, Williams-Sonoma; Enamel and cast-iron trivet/warmer, $50.00, Le Creuset).

To paraphase Dylan Thomas, I'm happy as the grass is green to be a bride and the hue that means "new" is the perfect way to show it.

(items shown in lead picture - Genie teapot, $35.00, Chantal; Silicone hot grip, $10.00, Broadway Panhandler; Architec mixing bowls, s3, $25.00, horchow; Silicone muffin cups, la Prima Shops; Silicone standing baster, iSi; Mario Batali cast-iron pot, $30.00, Copco; Progressive Magnetic measuring spoons, $8.00, Bed Bath and Beyond).
